I've said this before and I will say it again: to focus primarily on the caravans themselves is to focus on the symptom instead of the root cause.

We know there are internal issues drawing them here, things like unfettered access to social services, birthright citizenship, etc. Those are important, but only part of the root-cause picture. The other part is that these caravans aren't spontaneously generating, they are organized by others. Few are bothering with investigating, much less reporting on, the organizers (whom they are, who is funding them, etc). Until we focus (and demand the focus be) on shutting down the efforts of those groups, these caravans will continue to arrive and continue to put more and more pressure on Border Patrol, social services, etc.
