He was a pioneer in the field of sports medicine. He was two or three years older than Dr. James Andrews, and Bundrick’s early work in sports medicine both paved the path and inspired Dr. Andrews.
Both doctors are from Louisiana, won state championships in football, played college sports, attended college and medical school in Louisiana, and were collaborators and close friends throughout their medical careers.
