After reading the suit (skimmed, forgive me if there are mistakes), Randy is suing the LHSAA and Newman. His basic allegations are that the principal was never afforded a hearing (required by LHSAA bylaws) and the LHSAA never presented the proof of cheating. Further, he's arguing that the LHSAA suspending him constitutes a state action which gives rise to a due process claim. It could, it could not. I wouldn't bank on a CDC judge to give the proper ruling.

I don’t think Randy is really worried as he’s in the Bahamas. I guess he’ll worry about it once he gets back
