To a Nuss hater nitpicking his playtime as a backup. Saying that things he did early on matter, but things he did more recently like against Georgia do not because "they weren't trying you guys"

This strikes me as a giant strawman. Who is actually saying this? Provide links to these comments?

defended Jayden even when he was doing poorly

Every one has a bad play or bad game here and there. Daniels season last year was a lot better than many give him credit for. The whole he was afraid to throw downfield is mostly a assumption. Sure there may have a few llays he tucked and ran when he could have thrown it downfield, bu It could also have been the coaches. Also none of us watch tape which tells a lot more than what you see on TV or even live relying on memory. Besides he rushing was a valuable weapon, it is what separated him from Penix and Nix.

The cult of the back up QB has existed at every level of FB for a long time and has nothing to do with Daniels or Nussmirer. It was clear to people with eyes and no agenda that Daniels was extremely talented and the best option, not due to hate of the other guy but his play and skill.

No fans have seen enough of Nussmirer to offer meaningful criticism. He threw 57 passes as a true freshman on a bad team. He played mostly mop up as a RSFr in 22 and a great half against UGA and played well in the bowl.

Saying I’ll trust the coaches evaluations is also not hate.
