Not for me really but I have a new Gibson SG-61 in my closet ready to be sitting on a Hercules stand by the tree for my soon to be 18 year old son. He started playing about 6 months ago on an acoustic Fender CD-60 and has progressed very quickly. Played the lead on Hotel California a week ago in front of 250 people at a school guitar class concert and didn’t miss a note. This is his 1st electric and what he has been hoping to save money to eventually buy. He will be very excited. Beautiful guitar IMO.

The shop's CFO (my wife) approving me keeping the shop's first "dinky" strat is plenty enough Xmas toy for me ... I haven't put this thing down since I built it.

Awesome. I keep harping on it but I got my first Gibson fairly recently. They are very much worth the price.
