Until it doesn’t anymore. My daughter was driving her car home from a road trip this summer and it stopped on her as she was exiting the interstate. Couldn’t get it to do anything. 8 hours away so I couldn’t just go see what was going on. Sounded like maybe an alternator. Fortunately a couple of mechanically inclined guys stopped to help her (and the friends she was with). When they looked under the hood it turned out to be nothing more than a battery cable had worked itself loose. They tightened it up and it started right up and that was all that was wrong.
