My immigrant ancestors had their place of business burned by blacks and whites that were upset by the new family owned cheap competition for business. Some of these immigrants were lynched.

Years later, my great grandparents had their restaurant burned down because they would not pay protection money and allow other activities on their premises. The business became a parking lot for a supermarket.

Local established businesses did work on my family and later organized crime. I held no animosity toward any of the descendants. I don’t expect to be paid any reparations.
