Yeah I can’t really agree with this. Its almost like you know its going to be a bad season and you’re ok with that to help attract better candidates. The culture is already a complete mess- imagine what one more year of DA/Carr on a harder schedule will do? It’ll complete make it a toxic wasteland which may further alienate candidates. Our cap situation doesn’t get any better the following year and to me keeping DA means he’s not drafting a qb in this year’s qb rich draft. I’m just a firm believer that someone shouldn’t get an additional year if they have clearly shown they can’t do the job. Otherwise, what kind of expectations and message are you sending to people inside the building, players and to the fans? That we are willing to tolerate mediocrity and bad coaching?
