Tourbillons are the only complication I suggest if someone is considering buying they first buy one of the sub $1k Chinese versions to see how quickly the novelty wears off. I wore a friend's a few days about 10 years ago and for me the interest waned significantly in the first few hours and was completely gone by the second day. I will admit I am not a fan of visual movements and while some people love open-worked watches or visible tourbillons they just read cheap to me. From any distance a tourbillon reads like any one of a million cheap open heart watches with a visual balance assembly. Everyone is different but it is why a suggest a cheap test drive.
