When I was 13 or so, I ALMOST stepped on a FAT Cottonmouth once when I was exploring the palmetto swamp area of the BREC park on South Harrel’s Ferry Road in Baton Rouge.
That sumbitch was coiled with its mouth open ready to give me its business end.
I jumped up and back so damned high you’d of thought I was Spider-Man.
The closest I’ve ever been to being bitten, and I thanks my lucky stars that I wasn’t.
