Re: Surgical masks ... if everyone is wearing them in a clinical setting, there is some protection. Cloth masks are worthless. In fact, in some instances they are worse than no mask at all.

In fairness, my comments were heavily tilted toward specialists/subspecialists, rather than primary practitioners. My contact with the primary practice world is virtually nil except for personal care. TBH, it's a skew I'd not even taken into consideration until you noted your experiences.
