Blue point juniper vs emrald green arborvitae for south Louisiana?

I can get them both for around $10 a piece. But I'm afraid the Emrald Green will not do as well in zone 9 as the blue point? I am planting a row along side my property.

Both of them are highly susceptible to disease and insects and won't live very long.

Went with the Blue point juniper. Put them in a spot with plenty of sun.
