With insanely niche exceptions that aren't worth going into, GPUs are essentially universally compatible. It's not like CPUs. Anything you're going to buy will work with the board you have.

Are they not different dimensions? Really thinking more about will it fit in the current set up size wise, but that's good to hear otherwise.
