I've got this one from Thermoworks Thermoworks Fridge/freezer alarm Had it for about 5 years and it works great. Had a cheap one from amazon before that only lasted about 6 months.

Same one I got based on a recommendation from here. Looked forever on Amazon and was never happy with what I saw.
I just ran the probe wire over the side of the door and have only noticed slight frost buildup in that area. Probably should tape it down with some high quality tape so it stays flat but I haven't done that yet. I will say The one knock is how long the little 3v button battery is going to last( they claim a little over a year). If I had to buy it again I might spend the extra few dollars and buy the RT8100 which uses 2xaaa battery. Has an unnecessary extra sensor but the extra capacity of 2 aaa batts over a button batt is significant.
