Borodino is considered a victory for Napoleon? I guess a Pyrrhic victory at best

He pushed the Russian army from its redoubts and off the field, forcing Kutuzov to retreat. If not for all the smoke and dust, Napoleon might have pressed home the attack as the Russians were in complete disarray at one point that afternoon/evening. Napoleon was also outnumbered by roughly 50,000 soldiers, was on the offensive, and still inflicted twice as many casualties on the Russians than they did on him.
