Will be in the market soon, not interested in spending $70k on a new one. Best reliability in this timeframe? Hoping to grab one with ~30k miles and get over 100k with it. TIA

Sequoia.
Talking to a dealership now has a 2017 with 27k miles for $40k...
It's a platinum and waiting on insurance quotes. I don't want to pay a stupid amount because it's a platinum. I don't need a trim level like that but the deal is good.

How large?
He have had an atlas since early 2019, nearing 100k miles, and have absolutely nothing negative to say about it.

You think trim level on a fricking sequoia is going to make your insurance much higher? Doesn’t work like that.

It does if it comes with different internal components. specifically engine performance. I paid more for my sedan because it’s a V6 than a V4 because the trim package comes with a V6.

There should be some red flags as to why a 6 year old car with that few miles is being sold by the dealer for almost what the original customer bought it for.

Just FYI, I am no expert in auto reliability but my wife’s 15 Suburban had a complete transmission failure. I have a 22 1500 and have been asked by numerous people if I have had any transmission issues yet. The stories I have heard has been around 100k miles and earlier if towing a bunch. My wife now has a VW Atlas, pretty reliable but expensive to fix or even maintain. Couple family members with Honda Pilots and they seem to love them.

I have multiple family members and co-workings currently dealing with GM transmission failures.
I owned several Suburbans and they all had varying issues.

Sequoia (pre 2023/not V8). Or suburban if want the extra storage. Only 2 choices, if want 150k+ problem free
