I love my Blessed Mother Mary. My Mom (deceased) did too. When Mom was a young girl she lost her father, then her mother. The loss of her mother was particularly hard for her. It was then she prayed and asked our Blessed Mother Mary to be her mother. This began a beautiful, tender, relationship between Mom and Her Mother Mary that would last roughly 85 years and continues in Heaven to this very moment.
Today I gathered with my Catholic Family at my Church and celebrated the Feast of the Immaculate Conception. It was also Mom & Dad's 100th Wedding anniversary today. I miss them. On their wedding day, Mom and Dad came home from the Church riding in the back seat of her cousin's brand new 1923 Overland.
I look forward to seeing Mom (and Dad) in that Happy Place soon. Upon my arrival to the New Jerusalem, I imagine Momma standing smiling at me with her arms outstretched waiting to embrace me, with Mother Mary and her Son Jesus smiling beside her. Gathered behind them? My deceased grandparents, siblings, ancestors, and friends - including that baby we lost. O Happy Day!
Where, O Death, is your victory? Where,O Death, is your sting? - 1 Corinthians 15:55-58
