In MS it is legal to hunt without a license on land deeded in your name, so he’s not alone. Seems fair enough to me, he’s paying taxes on the property. This is what sucks as a Louisiana resident who owns land is MS. $500 a yr is a lot. I wish they had a non resident lifetime.

I bought my lifetime LA license back in September knowing I would be moving to Texas.

Should have bought one when I moved to Louisiana 12 years ago because I think I paid around $100 for the sportsman or close to it for 12 years. Also been paying $315 for the Texas out of state for the same time. Probably close to $500 a year to hunt both states after duck stamp, bow stamps, gator helper license and such.

I think in state Texas super combo was $68 last time I checked and lifetime may be $1800 so not sure if that’s worth it being 42 years old.
