Too bad she's not a little bit younger because Hollywood has become infatuated with the mid-30s female.

That's how it works in Hollywood. By and large, women are cast for their looks over their acting ability because studio executives know that teenage boys will come to the theater in droves if some smoking hot chick is acting opposite the A-list action star. There are notable exceptions but for every Helena Bonham Carter you get like six or seven Megan Fox's.

She also married an NHL All Star who made millions of dollars.
That's another feature of starlets disappearing. They capitalize on their looks and fame and marry a rich dude so they don't have to work. Sometimes when you look them up on the internet you find out they married some hedge fund starter or something.
