I'm sure the developer wouldn't have bothered if that land was zoned for Baker schools.

Horton is starting to get a lot of heat in Louisiana. Not sure if all of their plans in Zachary will actually happen.

Which is kind of the point of the whole complaint.

That area is out in the middle of goddamn nowhere. Does not bring in tax dollars to Zachary. Does not have services from anywhere. Yet it is being dropped out there solely to flood the school district with 1000+ new homes.


That is the kind of shite that people bitch about whenever a Walmart is built yet it is OK because “her people” benefit.

Horton has been the subject of a number of lawsuits due to building quality which doesn’t meet requirements. I know that they got sued over at least one subdivision in Lafayette over it.
