that's why the majority of these "takes" are frickin stupid.
Guys like Dante Moore are not coming to LSU to hang out while Nuss does his thing.
We'll probably grab a QB in the portal but it's not gonna be a premier guy because anyone that started last year isn't interested in coming here to play backup.

Some players that are solid college players, but don't have an NFL future are looking for an NIL payday. That's what happened with Spencer Sanders at Ole Miss.
I think that's more what LSU will be looking at, unless they can land a Cam Ward type player.

If they have multiple years of eligibility left and think they can take over the position in a year or two or think they can help the team if Nuss doesn’t perform well, gets hurt etc. then why not come here?
After what Burrow and JD just did at LSU, there will be more QB’s who want to show they can follow it up. Waiting one or two years might be the best move for many of these QBs. The supporting cast will be mature at that point and the defense should be up to LSU standards by then as well.
I think we are a year away from landing another elite QB out of the portal but who knows? We will need an experienced back up or someone more mature than what we have now. Nuss could also have a 4K season and leave after one season. We need to be prepared for anything and these QBs think they can compete with anyone so go get them.
