Florida state looked like shite last night and have looked like shite since they lost their starting QB.

I disagree. They went to the swamp and beat the Gators. That’s not easy for a rival, just like it wasn’t easy for bama with Auburn. Then they beat Louisville a top 15 team. No, they weren’t awarded any style points, but they did what they had to do against a quality opponent in a championship game. They also won by more points than Washington and bama did combined.

They lost their QB, yes, but they did exactly what they had to do to deserve a spot in the playoff. You can’t demonstrate that the team is not good without Jordan Travis. They have showed more fortitude than any other team by stepping up the way they have.

I don't think anyone is not giving them credit for what they have done the past 2 weeks. Granted, UF sucks this year and won't be going to a bowl game. I would have thought FSU's running game would have been more effective or drawn enough coverage into the box due to having a backup QB that Rodemaker would have been able to take advantage of single coverage on the outside with those 2 big WRs. Instead, the offense was bad. And, you already referenced how bad the FSU-UL scoring was.

The issue is the other 4 teams in consideration are currently more well-rounded teams with better offenses and the only team with a significantly worse D is UW.
