Iowa with a loss here pretty much guarantees they play Ole Miss.

SO. Get ready for the Brian Kelly Bowl.

I thought I read that Bama winning ended the ND matchup

See the thread titled ‘Bowl update from McMurphy’, further down on the Rant. Says Reliquest has to take a Big 10 team due to Georgia being highest ranked team not in playoffs.

I heard that Bama winning the SEC pretty much killed our matchup with ND. We will end up in the Tax Slayer Bowl or something if the SEC champ is left out of the CFP.

No one wants this. And bama winning essentially rules it out. Just take a seat

My post from another thread…

It’s a domino situation that starts at the Orange bowl. The orange bowl is ACC vs. highest ranked (non-playoff) SEC or Big 10 team. If it’s a Big 10 team in the orange, the reliaquest gets an ACC team or Notre Dame. If it’s an SEC team in the orange the reliaquest gets a Big 10 team.

Before the SECCG the thought was Ohio state would be the highest ranked SEC/Big 10 team giving them the orange bowl and the reliaquest an ACC/Notre Dame team. With Bama winning and Georgia losing the thought is now Georgia (or Bama if they don’t get in) will be the highest ranked non-playoff SEC/Big 10 team which means the reliaquest has to take the big 10.
