Will be spending 3 nights. Jan 1-4. Active family of 5 with young adult children. Looking to do some hiking, site seeing, shooting etc. Recommendations, insight and opinions are greatly appreciated!

They’re tons of hiking and off-road activities in Big Bend National Park and the neighboring State Park. At minimum in the National Park hike Santa Elena Canyon, Lost Mine trail, visit the Chisos Basin and pick one of many trails that start there, and cross the border at Boquillas Canyon and have lunch in Mexico.
