I don’t either. It was ugly, but he did put up good stats and was—and still is—a tough SOB. It wasn’t all his fault, but the fanbase had turned on him, and he knew he’d have a hard time beating out both Nuss and the incoming Howard. Probably figured the new coach would bring in another guy, too. No problem at all with him transferring. Nothing against him at all. Now, his dad is a super douche, though.

And he may wind up starting in Chapel Hill, but I don’t think he’s anywhere near enough to have been promised the starting gig. He may win it, but he’ll have to imo.

How many starting SEC QBs have transferred to a school in the same division? It would be weird if there wasn’t a little aggravation with that decision.

Not to mention we probably don’t go get JD5 if Max doesn’t transfer.
