It’s known as “The Peanut Capital of the World”. It’s about 20 minutes from Florida and Georgia. Nothing special, but a pretty good place to grow up.

Peanut Capital of the World!!! Heck yeah! Peanut Festival every year too.

My last visit to the wonderful city of Dothan was to visit my mother back in August. Unfortunately, it was during that visit that she passed away unexpectedly. I'm just glad that I was able to be with her for that last week and right up to her last breath.

Haven't made it back yet, but I need to get back down to Houston County to visit my brother and his family. He's the minister at the church of Christ over on Honeysuckle Rd.

Yes sir. Dothan is definitely known as the Peanut Capital of the World. Those NM and TX towns don't have the peanut idols placed around town to prove it like Dothan has.
