Having the WHO supercede the powers of the US government over the citizens of the United States was one of those things that was slid under the door and no one contested the far reaching impact of "policy makers" not legislators making that decision.
I fear the next election we will have another "event" and this time it probably wont even be mail in, they will use war powers acts to vote on line and when we protest they will use UN forces to "stabilize" any unrest during the election.

Any stable republic/democracy has all kinds of social norms, public goodwill and “guard rails” that ensure peaceful transitions of power and respect for the government structures around us.
Unfortunately the social norms have been abandoned and respect for the structures is non-existent because they have been undermined and co-opted into nakedly political and biased entities.
What that means is that the next time things get bad (hard recession, contested election, pandemic), the two sides won’t have the residual good will and respect for the government that we had going into 2020 and it seems likely things will break very badly one way or another at some point.
