Chicken - Computer Help Board?

Any chance of creating a message board on Computer Help? I know people get tired of reading micro$haft "help" threads that are 5 years old and I think I (as well as many other TD groupies) would be glad to help as many as we can on various nagging issues. I would personally be glad to help anyone on any computer issues that I can and I think it would be something to at least be considered. Thanks

OT and Help Board seem to work just fine.

Can you tell me why I need ms net frameworks to run shared programs from non-parent/3rd party companies? I could use some insight. Thanks.

I can't. But I would bet there is someone who can.

EDIT: I actually know the answer, but I was trying to make a point.Point being that I actually use this site more than google nowadays and I thought it would be a beneficial topic

I doubt any person on any TD board could answer that

Don't listen to him. I can think of at least 3 IT guys that post here. Someone on the OT could handle it.

Unless ,of course, you run into an arse like Mr. Me.

because it installs "virtual machine" is the most common reason, i believe. beside, .NET has the entire MSDN library of "pre-coded" solutions. seems like all you need to do is write 1/2 of the program and let .NET fill in the blanks.
imo

The computer help on this board tends to focus on the who, how, when and what, not so much the why. However, the obvious answer to your question is that the shared programs in question use something in the ms net framework. Software companies often use outside frameworks and libraries so they don't have to reinvent the wheel themselves.
