I think there's just a lot of comic book movie burnout. There was a point in time where they were enjoyable, then writing gave way to special effects, and the whole genre just became a chaotic mess. Plus, lots of people avoid theaters entirely now. Too much culture. Too often don't feel safe out at night. Too much alternative streaming product.

That's not it. Non-identity centered Marvel movies like Deadpool 3 will still make a killing, watch. And that movie will be rated R.
