He met with a "VA Advocate" who helped him previously and they are devising a Treatment Plan. He called the Camp Hope Hotline and is enrolled in a weekly group meeting. I've forwarded him and his wife all of the suggestions you guys shared.
THANK YOU All!

Wing T, I hope this all works out for your son.

I also agree with all the comments in here about how shitty the VA is for enlisted men. I have lost several clients over the years from suicide from PTSD that wasn’t dx or even considered by the VA.

Meanwhile, I have numerous friends that are high level officers, step below general, admiral etc and they get disability ratings etc for back pain, and assorted other bs, and retired with huge bonus and 100k plus yearly retirements to then take private sector jobs making another 150k etc etc.

It’s obscene but they know how to work the system. Once they are done with fighting men they don’t give a frick in my humble opinion. It makes fighting stupid wars cheap and easy. We need a draft just to even the . When lawyers, doctors and upper middle class kids start coming home in boxes, the moms go nuts and stupid wars get much more attention and difficult to start.

This is good. Nice job.
You, Dad, stay in touch with him daily.
A meeting doesn’t make it go away. But it is a good start.
It’s not something that gets away quickly if ever. Check in with him pops. He’ll need you as well.
