I guess it’s partly politics. You bring in Dean as a transfer, so you must play him. It doesn’t matter if Chest gives you more athleticism and down the road (or now, for that matter) a much better chance to win.
It’s like playing the $100 million dollar guy in baseball over the rookie, who has been knocking the cover off the ball.
