re: MRI...Anyone ever had one?

I've had 3 or 4. Too many CTs to count. The first MRI, the tech handed me the ear muffs after I had already put in foam ear plugs. I said I didn't need them, and she said "Put them on anyway. You might decide you need them". She was right.

The last I had was a couple of years ago before a cardiac ablation. It took at least 45 minutes or an hour. The tech handed me the "panic button" and I told him that I wouldn't need it, as it wasn't my first one and I hadn't had any previous issues. He said, "Take it anyway. Just in case."

He was right. I didn't have to press it, but knowing I could is the only thing that got me through the test.
