2. Change scope rings. Admittedly a lot of respected shooters here like the one piece scope/scope base. I'm not a fan of them. I tried them once, and it didn't match up well w/ the turrets on my scope, preventing me from moving th scope in the rings frontward or backward. For a number of years, only I've used a one piece Weaver slot base w/ Burris Weaver type Signature Z-rings (the ones w/ the plastic inserts). Since I've been using these rings, I no longer lap the scope rings. On my XP 100 handguns chambered in <30 caliber, I use 2 rings (even in the 284 Win); if chambered in 30 caliber or higher, I use 3 rings. Which brings me to option #3.
3. Add a third ring.
