Unfortunately, I have only played one round with this new putter because of the rain, etc...

I tested both models with the different inserts and I choose the White Hot insert. The gold insert was very lively for me and I have always like the White Hot insert in the past.

Thhere is a $150.00 price difference between the Gold insert (449.00) and the White Hot (299.00)

Interesting that Odyssey decide to change course from the Stroke lab 2 piece shaft and use a ultra light stroke lab steel shaft on this new model.

The mallet head putter definitely has some heft to it.

The See-Through window to the insert is kind of cool.

Like I said, I have only had one round with it, but I really like the distance control that I was getting.

Here are some pics -

It's not an overly attractive putter that's for sure...

Putter is also the one club that is nearly impossible for me to change.. Hell I used the same Odyessey #7 for over 15 years before switching to the Scotty a couple years ago..

Right...

I still use an Odyssey I bought while in highschool roughly 20 years ago. I have had/tried a couple putters between then and now, but always go back to the one that fits my eye.

In its defense, I am not a good photographer.

I think the finish is very similar to the Tri Hot putter if not exactly.

The big difference is the feeling of heft and a very solid feel. Most Odyssey putters to me feel light.

I picked golf back up after a 5 year break. Putting was horrendous and convinced myself that I needed to make the move from blade to mallet, and that would fix everything.

90 days later, I'm very grateful that for the 90 day buy back guarantee for Callaway Golf Pre-owned. It's back to the Yes! Callie C-Groove until I can do a proper putter fitting. Anyone had a good one in the BR area recently?

In for putter fitting info. I took a break for awhile also. I have an Odyssey 2 ball CS and wonder if weight or lie adjustment would be beneficial.
