Against Bama he had the highest coverage grade: 65.3
He was only targeted once on a slant which was caught for 10 yards. He had 7 tackles (5 Solo) but missed one tackle.
That's a pretty good outing for a freshman in his first game. If he improves from there he's going to be great.

Agreed, I thought he played well despite the circumstances.

I know some fans will mention the bad angle he took that allowed the TD but it was 1 bad play. He was better than our previous CB's. I want to believe in BK but something that concerns me is the fact that although they have the benefit of watching these guys A LOT in practice, it's not translating to the field. We have quite a few of players on defense that continue to start or garner the majority of playing time even though we've seen younger guys come in that appear immensely more talented and play better.

When his helmet popped off but he KEPT GOING and finished the tackle, I was like okay. Get me 10 others out there with this mentality and nobody scores on us.
Hope that our investments in talent evaluation aren’t solely on times and measurements, but also grit and win-at-all-costs mentality

Amen to that. I miss that grit.
