I have a pudelpointer also. I've hunted quail, duck, but mostly use him now for tracking. My colorblind self can't see blood on grass unless it's a murder scene. God help me if it's raining at all. Watching him work to find my deer is something else.

I didn’t answer my own question: I have a Deutsch Drahthaar that I hunt woodcock/quail/pheasants, ducks, rabbits, and blood track with and a 8 year old Labrador that is a retired duck dog with 2 bad ACL’s.
I love seeing the PP, WPG, and GSPs that y’all are using for versatile hunting dogs as well.
