Gov't Taco was always going to struggle when they had to try to reopen the new location in the middle of a worldwide pandemic. Add the ensuing staffing issues and Jay focusing on other projects, and this is the result.
It's a shame because I thought the food was much better as of late with the new manager/chef and some of the new menu items were awesome (Nacho Fries
). But at this point, it's too hard to recapture customers without a rebrand of some kind.

Ducote supposedly left his brother in charge and that was the biggest part of the downfall.
Govt Taco did the most with tacos and that's something you don't really need to do. Barracuda does fine because it doesn't try to make a taco with too many ingredients. They do it simple and well.
