We built in 2022. The appliance options were essentially Kitchen Aid and Bosch among others.
After doing research and kicking the tires at the plumbing supply Co, we threw in the towel and went with Whirlpool.
1- They were 30% less than Bosch and KA.
2- They looked very similiar in design and quality.
3- We can always upgrade later if we don't like them
So far so good. We are pleased. I don't get the fascination with Bosch.

I don't get the fascination with Bosch.
another true story: the house we are about to sell came with a bottom-of-the-line bosch dishwasher and the wife fussed because of the 'clickity' punch buttons on the front to change settings and make it start.
my work office has 6 bosch dishwashers..the REALLY NICE ones. i know they probably get more use but every time i'm in the office there are at least 1 or 2 with 'out of order' signs on them.
my takeaway: that bottom-of-the-line bosch we have is all mechanical and the fanciers ones with more LED screens and touch-tone buttons create way more opportunities for failure.
someone said it early in the thread: with appliances 'luxury <> better products'; the simple ones with mechanical parts which make up the low-end tier instead are the ones that will just do their damn job for a long time without expensive repairs.
and where the hell is napoleon. we need him to enter this thread and give us a breakdown of which speed queen models to avoid.
