Yay or nay?

Twice in two seasons he's been on IR. Time for the move IMO.

Then Porter and (dare I say) a rejuvenated Jason David at both corners? Or we can draft a first round corner. Or Linebacker.

I just think safety wouldn't be quite as clear cut the #1 need on this team if we moved moved MM. Worked for Rod Woodson. Great corner turned great safety.

most delusional think I have read today....Mckenzie is way way too soft. And JD is about as useful as footballbat. anyways.

Really? Every game I've seen he's one of the more physical corners. He doesn't knock helmets off, but he likes to mix it up and get physcial at the line.

He would be a better Free Safety than what we have now

It's really not a bad idea as gay, David, and porter are all solid cb's

I just have to jump in and mention how much I love the Pain Train nickname... makes me LOL literally every single time someone uses it.

choo choo whatever...Alejandro is delusional if he's for real. The only upside for me with Mckenzie moving to safety is that he's smart enough to handle it. USama is a great open field tackler...I wouldnt mind that one.

P.S. Pain train does make me

This is the second most "FAIL"worthy thing I've read today. MM is one of the more physical CBs in the league besides T. Newman, Asante Samuel, Mathas and Trufant . I think he will eventually be a safety like Woodson and Chavous.

Which is exactly what we need since Bullocks clearly is not.

My initial thoughts were to move Usama to safety

I think that either MM or Usama would be worth a shot to try at FS. If Porter can come back from the injury and Gay can stay solid on the other side, I would think this would be good for the Saints. Also, if Pain Train keeps playing somewhat decent, Gay can slide into the slot on Nickel packs and we can get more playing time for Pain Train.

Sometimes I wonder why I left this board. Then, I come back and see this.

If there were any corner that should be moved to safety on the roster right now, it's Usama Young.

I could get on board with that move, but I think UY is going to end up being a wasted pick for the Saints. MM still has a year or two in the league before he has to move to safety imho fwiw.

Has McKenzie lost a step??? Are the injuries why we should move him to safety?? Keep him at corner. I can't see Mike running through the line on a safety blitz...but i could see him making a Keith Brooking " dive at somebody's ankles and hope they fall" tackle..its called a tankle. I say leave Mike put. You've honestly thought Whoopi Goldberg was super tough??

The point is, Mike McKenzie should never, ever be moved to safety. Just because he's not safety material. After this last injury, he's not even CB material.

Mike Mckenzie is very physical with receivers at the line of scrimmage and while running the route. At the same time he is one of the worst tackling corners out there. I think thats why yall are having disagreements because yall are arguing 2 different things.

Well, you haven't seen him play after the last injury so you're just guessing.
