We have taken a lot of cruise vacations as a family in the past. We've been on about every cruise line except Carnival out of Florida. Always liked RCCL the best. But now am looking for a bit more special cruise to celebrate my wife's 50th birthday and basically kick off our next phase of childless vacationing as we become empty nesters.

I have to keep it around 7 days. On my searches, I came across Windstar cruises. They seemed to be a much smaller ship that spends time in islands we wouldn't get to go to with the large ships. More laid back with hopefully a better culinary experience. Prefer all inclusive so we're not nickle and diming ourself and can just focus on having fun. This would be in February, so warm weather preferred.

Has anyone done a windstar cruise? Any other ideas? I would like to keep it around $8k for the week total. We're open to a destination as well, but cruises just seem to not get stale since you're changing ports.

Don’t know anything about Windstar, but Seabourn is phenomenal. 200-300 passengers depending on the ship. Great restaurants/food/service.
