The general consensus here is correct. The crowd isn’t nearly as loud as the crowd in Tiger Stadium. LSU was playing on offense with minimal crowd noise in the second quarter and early 3rd when the game was still on the line. The overall niceness of the stadium, sound and lights is great if you want that and not if you don’t. I think most people would find it pretty cool. Can have that debate with the different generations later. I’m only 32 and my football memory begins with Kevin Faulk but I still prefer the old school coliseum feel of Death Valley and wish we had more band and less piped in music but do think there is room for improvement in Death Valley in those regards. BDS concessions were out of most food except hot dogs at the end of the 1st quarter with long lines to get them. The campus is pretty nice. Traffic leaving the game was terrible, I did ok getting off campus over the course of an hour and a half while my father in law sat in a parking lot for an hour and half before even starting to move.

I live around here. The fan base is extremely entitled. After one loss and a rough showing against USF I heard people asking whether they should even go to the Ole Miss game. A lot of front runners mixed in with the die hards. Hoping I get to see them in a post Saban world soon.

Big picture, the experience and atmosphere watching Taylor stretch across the pylon last year in Tiger Stadium from beginning to end kills whatever advantage BDS has in lights and sound in my opinion and it’s not like they really have their overall game day experience at a different level from what I could see (and I despise Aramark and the current parking and traffic situation at LSU).
