quote:It depends on where you have really bad infection/mucus. Over a decade ago I got a really bad sinus infection in the sinus cavities behind my eyebrows. It felt like my forehead was gonna explode. Really painful. I went to an ENT and had X-rays done and they were completely blocked. He gave me a weeks worth of antibiotics to try to clear it up. Went back after a week and took more X-rays and it was the same as before so I had to have surgery.
Bad sinus infection, tips to help sinus drain
The surgeon had to go in and rinse out my sinus cavities and he removed a little bit of bone to allow them to drain better. Right before the surgery, he told me that if he wasn’t able to get it all done through my nose, that he would have to drill a hole in my eyebrows to access them and I had to sign a waiver. Thankfully he didn’t have to do that.
