Jesus came to bring the good news to all the nations or the gentiles, he doesn't leave out the Jewish people when he brings the good news to all the nations. The Old Testament even prophecies that the Messiah will proclaim the good news to all the nations.
Also Jesus was a Jew and many of the Apostles as well. Were they specially selected by Jesus? Than the rest of the jews were forsaken because Christ choose the gentiles instead?
