No one can argue the validity of your point. We have been heavily dependent on the state over the years and our classes have been ranked accordingly based on the strength year to year. The strategy has worked to get us where we are in the pantheon of college football.
Wasn't the point of hiring Kelly, an established coach lacking only the big prize at the highest level, to improve from the norm? It's been proven lesser coaches can win here using that strategy. Why pay 100 mil over 10 years to remain at status quo when an up and comer would've sufficed at a much lower price tag? Fair or not the bar is Bama and UGA. Sustained dominance. Status quo doesn't accomplish that. It's been proven. Common sense says adjust the recruiting footprint. LA dominated classes supplemented from Texas and the SE isn't getting us where we want to be. Not for the price we are paying.

Right when I think you're starting to see reason, you go and post this bullshite.
Think about it like this. There are very few, like 3 or 4 coaches in all of college football who could taken what LSU had, completely rebuild the culture and roster, and be competitive from day one while doing all of this rebuilding.
Your premise is not only wrong, it's fricking retarded. What more do you want from the man ? To go from 37 scholarship players to a national championship in year 1 ?
You'd probably rather be Florida, or Tennessee, who had to go through many years of sucking, and coaching hiring and firing before they found their guy in Tenneessee's example, or going on what, coach number 4 or 5 and still not being competitive and probably not done with their coaching carousel in Florida's case ?
How can you not sit back and marvel at the job BK has done up to this point ? If you recognize the pattern, you can be assured that a national championship is inevitable with BK.
You should just go be a Bama fan. Then again, we will see how Bama recovers after Nicky leaves.
I'll guarantee this, who ever takes over for Nick will not do nearly as good a job as Kelly has, and Nick will leave Bama in far better shape than Ed left LSU.
