My dog was obsessed with eating paper towels and napkins.Anytime she could snatch one she would gulp it down before I could get it away from her.
Way I broke her of it was to it sew a white thread through a napkin and tie it to the trigger of a mouse trap. After she grabbed two booby trapped napkins, she lost interest in them.
Several times I would run over a dried up napkin turd with the lawn mower and paper fragments would go everywhere.

Neighbors black lab would eat everything. It would crap out a treasure chest. Sprinkler head chunks, rocks, stuffed animal parts, golf ball pieces, coins. Dog lived a full life.
