I had to come back to this thread. I just took my dogs out for poop time and noticed the puppy went in early. I didn't think anything about it but when we got back inside she was on her bed chewing up a paper towel, I put up my late-night snack bowl but forgot my "napkin" but she didn't. As I approached her she knew I was going to take it and swallowed a big chunk before I could get there.

I think she learned it from one of my older dogs, anytime I have a food wrapper and put it down on the side table instead of taking back to the kitchen garbage he will ask to go outside then as soon as I open the door to come back in he streaks to my chair and grabs the wrapper with the ha ha fooled you look on his face.
