I can only speak for myself but if I were your patient and you started that shite with me one of us is going to need a damned doctor for certain...and the police. Why the frick would an employee talk to their boss that way??? Would anyone put up with an auto mechanic or a HVAC technician who acted that way toward a customer? Patients are the customer of medical providers...and medical providers are basically mechanics and most of them are not very good mechanics...frick a doctor and them putting their foot down, its a good way for the doc to find a foot up their arse....

If a patient shows up 30 minutes late to an appointment and expects to be seen, what do you think that does to the patients who show up on time? It makes them late. I'm not a provider, but my wife refuses to see patients who show up more than 15 minutes late. She'll have patients scheduled in a 45 minute slot, show up 30 minutes late and get upset because she refuses to see them. She's not going to make the next patient wait 30 minutes because the first patient couldn't show up on time.
