Kirk would be a fine head coach to stick around and just let his coordinators do the job. Phil Parker at DC is on cruise control. ST is rolling. Just hire a competent OC and get out of his way.

Basically, retire in place. Make the big decisions like go for it on 4th or kick (trust me, he's kicking), and just reap the rewards of your coaches efforts.

I fully expect him to do exactly what Chryst did his last season after it being suggested he hire an OC. He'll just hire a guy that will run the exact same offense he has run for decades and nothing will change because you can't recruit enough good players to that system.

No highly rated QBs or WRs will even return a call to play in that shite.

Hell, the piss poor offense at UW even effected recruiting on the defensive side of the ball as those guys like to be a winning team too. Busting your arse on D to see the offense put up 10 points sucks. Recruits had said specifically that the offense concerned them under Chryst.

I remember that highly rated LB from Louisiana that went to USC saying that for one example. He's starting as a freshman.

Tackett Curtis? Curtis Rackett? Something like that...
