I dislocated my shoulder and broke my collarbone in 2006. Arm was practically sitting on my hip before they popped it back into place.
Have had issues with shoulder presses ever since. Doesn't affect chest exercises either.
My advice would be to just drop the weight and ramp up the reps. It has worked for me.
One thing to watch out for is pushing too much weight where your other shoulder starts to compensate for the loss of strength in the other one. Caused me to slip a disk in my neck a couple times. Now that fricking sucks.
