Sounds like you're mainly booking on Lower cost carriers that operate daily or less than daily flights. That's the root of your problem as they typically don't have multiple flights per day to rebook you on if schedule changes/delays cause issues.

Yeah book on a bigger carrier and it's definitely a benefit. The individual small airlines not so much
